WHAT IS TYPHIDOT?
It is a test that is conducted to identify IgM and IgG antibodies against the outer membrane protein (OMP) of the Salmonella typhi. It is a medical test that is performed for the diagnosis of Typhoid fever. As soon as the infection started to affect the human, there are chances that the Typhidot test will be positive within the time period of 2-3 days. IgM and IgG antibodies are diagnosed separated with the help of the Typhidot test. This test is dependent on the detection of particular IgM and IgG antibodies to a specific 50KD OMP. Typhoid fever is an illness due to high-grade fever, it is a disease that is intense, severe, lethal, and deadly sometimes. Diarrhea, high fever, red-colored rashes are the basic signs of Typhoid fever. As Typhidot test is responsible for the analysis of specific antibodies (that is IgM and IgG) separately so the identification of recent infections can be shown by IgM and IgG indicates remote infections. CAUSES
The major cause of the spread of S.typhi bacteria is through food, drinks, and water that is polluted and carries fecal material. This bacteria can be extended if the fruits and vegetables are washed and cleaned with the polluted water. If a person has a positive test result report of Typhidot test and if they are the carriers of this bacteria can be a cause of spreading the S.typhi bacteria. The symptoms of typhoid fever include the following conditions:
- Poor taste.
- Headaches.
- General aches and pains.
- Rise in the temperature of fever as high as 104 degrees.
- Tiredness.
- Diarrhea.
